Goodrington is a
P&DSR station just south of Goodrington Sidings which are still used
for long distance trains. Goodrington is owned by the P&DSR and is undergoing
much maintenance with a new passing loop being built and and part of the
original sidings towards the right of the closed platform are being
rebuilt head towards the line along Goodrington Bank. I am not entirely
sure on what Dart Rail are planning to do with the extended sidings
although the second track being rebuilt though the station will be used as
some kind of passing loop.
Below are some pictures of Goodrington The view into Goodrington station showing the new passing loop being built and the closed second platform The view over the dismantled sidings. from left to right; the station, the new siding being extended, the old National railway sidings The view over Goodrington sidings |
